TOS50 1

Ah the 60s. When you could punch a coworker in front of the boss and get a warning. Also Pepper is completely unfazed by the violence that she immediately gripes about the lack of attention. Is Happy just punching everyone when Tony isn't around? - MB

Happy is the new morale officer. If you can’t recite the Stark company mission statement on command, he kicks your teeth down your throat. - LCJS

TOS50 3

We've got Magnet Sign!!! And this time it's Iron Man who is affected by the magnets though in past comics he's been immune to magnets. Maybe the new armor is no longer immune? Maybe the writer & artist forgot? Maybe I'm thinking about it more than they did? - MB

TOS50 4

You ever try and karate chop somebody while wearing a big thick Jostens class ring? It’s a good way to jack up the rest of your fingers. The Mandarin does it with TEN of those mothers. Clearly he’s someone to be reckoned with. - LCJS

TOS50 5

One of the tropes of these early Iron Man stories is that his foes have gizmos which cancel out his gizmos. This issue, it's high-frequency waves. So, Dusty Springfield tunes? - JRW

TOS50 6

This may be the dumbest thing we've seen in a comic so far and that's saying something. The Mandarin is about to karate chop Iron Man. Iron Man pulls out his slide rule, mid-chop, to calculate the angle to block with - MB

This may be the GREATEST thing we’ve seen in a comic so far and that’s saying something. The Mandarin is about to karate chop Iron Man. Iron Man pulls out his slide rule, mid-chop, to calculate the angle to block with. - LCJS

TOS50 7

This is the first appearance of Iron Man's greatest villain. His archnenemy. The big Iron Man baddie. And he debuted in a pointless story. In this read through, only two stories made me angry and this is one of them. Just a bad comic. So pointless - MB

TOS Watcher

One of the backups in this issue is the second installment of "Tales of the Watcher." Sadly, like the Wasp backups in Tales To Astonish, these are just standard Twilight Zone style tales with the Watcher playing the role of Rod Serling. - JRW

TOS Watcher 2

It’s a tough, tough situation we find ourselves in. Just a reminder that none of us are in it alone. Take care of yourselves, folks. - LCJS
